Documenting the journey of an aviation professional upgrading his life with AI.
I’m a Tech Crew Chief by day and an AI explorer by night. I am not a software engineer—I’m a hands-on professional learning how to use Artificial Intelligence to automate tasks, manage finances, and build a new future.
I’ve always been a curious person, but lately, I felt like I was being bombarded. Every day, a new tool, a new headline, a new "revolution." Honestly? I went from low knowledge to high confusion very quickly.
I started doing what any curious person does: I consumed everything. I listened to podcasts, watched YouTube channels, and read Yuval Noah Harari’s Nexus. Harari argues that AI could shift human dominance by manipulating our stories. That didn’t help the fear.
I saw "AI" stamped on everything—even toothbrushes claiming to use AI to analyze brushing styles (spoiler: it’s mostly just gyroscopes, not intelligence).
But I realized my fear wasn’t about the technology; it was about the unknown. So, I decided to stop watching and start touching the technology. I signed up for ChatGPT and Gemini. I went down the rabbit hole of LLMs. I even realized my iPad wasn't enough for what I wanted to do, so I walked into an Apple Store and bought a MacBook Pro just to run models locally.
But the more I learned, the more chaos I created in my head.
That’s why I’m starting My AI Logbook. Back in school, writing was the only way I could fix a thought in my mind. This project is exactly that: a log of my journey from the tarmac (Ops) to the algorithm (AI).
My AI Logbook is where I share the real tools, scripts, and strategies I’m using to go from zero to optimized. No hype, just practical applications.
I’m documenting where I stopped, what I learned, and where I'm going next.
